The Universal Restrainer was designed to allow the handler to perform all sampling and injection procedures in a single immobilization.

  • the slit in the abdominal ventral area of the rat allows : access to the bladder, gastrointestinal catheters, fistulas, intraperitoneal administration, cardiac punctures
  • the dorsal slit allows : the insertion of catheters, subcutaneous injections, EKG and EEG
  • the slit at the tail allows : for sampling and injection, heart puncture
