The classic U-frame stereotaxic instrument is a standard in research laboratories in neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, neuropharmacology and neurosurgery.
Positionned around a U-shaped frame and using specific reference points on the surface of the skull, it applies a three-dimensional coordinate system to isolate precise targets in the brain, allowing researchers to perform minimally invasive surgery, such as accurate injection, stimulation, or EEG signal recording.
Accurate alignment is allowed with the verniers of each axis at a resolution of 0.1 mm. Laser engravings allow a comfortable reading of the units.
